Race day BMX service has a tighter tool footprint than home-shop service. The kit has to fit in a backpack or a trunk corner alongside pads, helmet, and a spare wheel; it has to open at the side of a course start gate; and it has to close again in the time between heats.
The BMX Kit Roll Set is built for that footprint. A curated selection of BMX-specific tools in a PU-coated waterproof tool roll, with spare capacity to add a mini-pump or knee pads alongside the tools.
What the kit covers
The tool selection is sized for the work a BMX race day or trailhead session sees most:
- Long ball-end hex wrenches in sizes 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10 mm
- Chain tool sized for BMX chains
- Chain wear indicator
- Master-link pliers
- Pedal wrench
- Cable housing cutters
- Set of two tire levers
- Open-end wrench, 8 × 10 mm
How the roll carries
PU-coated, waterproof, and sturdy. The roll has spare capacity inside for adding tools from your own collection (a specific BB socket, a Torx set) and for parts (pads, a mini-pump). Velcro closure tight enough to clip onto the outside of a bag.

Built in Zreče, Slovenia
Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče, Slovenia, since 1919, and is the official technical partner of multiple World Tour and downhill teams. The BMX Kit Roll Set is the start-gate format: a PU-coated wrap that packs into a backpack or race-day bag and unrolls onto a course-side bench in the time between heats.
Pro tip from our mechanics
The roll format is the right call when the kit travels with the rider; the BMX Tool Kit hard case is the right call when the kit lives on a bench. Both share the workshop standard; pick by where the bike gets serviced most.
