The Stand Body 1693.25 is the bare structural arm of the wall- or bench-mounted 1693.2 repair stand line: the steel post, the column geometry, and the mount surfaces that take the clamp head, sold as a standalone replacement part. Two cases bring shops to the bare body: a stand that's been damaged at the mount (a heavy impact, a service-truck-induced bend) and a shop swapping clamp heads on a long-lived wall-mount install without replacing the whole stand.

For shops running the 1693.2 cam-style or the 1693.2S quick-release wall-mount line in daily service, the stand body is the long-lived part of the install; the clamp head sees the bike-to-bike wear and is the typical service-replacement item, but the stand body itself can be the load-bearing replacement if the mount has been impacted or worked past its working tolerance.

What it replaces

The 1693.25 replaces the structural arm only; it does not include the clamp head, the mount hardware to the wall or bench, or the rubber jaw covers. The intended use is as a replacement body to receive an existing or new clamp head (1693.1 cam-style, 1693.1S manually adjustable, or 1693.1Q Pro Shop QR) on a wall or bench install where the previous body has been retired.

For shops fitting a new clamp head to a working stand body, the clamp heads are sold separately and listed on their own product pages.

Compatibility

Fits the Unior 1693.2 family of wall- or bench-mounted repair stand installs. The clamp-head mount geometry is shared across the 1693.2 (cam-style) and 1693.2S (QR) configurations; the stand body is compatible with either clamp head choice. Mount hardware to the wall stud or benchtop is install-side and not included with the body itself.

Built in Zreče, Slovenia

Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče since 1919, and is the official technical partner of multiple World Tour and downhill teams. A wall-mount install in a working shop sees occasional impacts; the 1693.25 is the catalog answer for the morning after one. Steel post, finished to the same workshop spec as the rest of the 1693.2 family, sized to take a clamp head and the loads a wall-mount sees from below.

Pro tip from our mechanics

Most shops never order the 1693.25; the stand body outlives the rest of the install. The two situations where it's the right buy are damage repair (a forklift, a falling shelf, a service-truck door catching the stand on the way out) and a clamp-head upgrade where the existing body is fine but the clamp head needs swapping. For most other cases, the clamp head is the part to swap; the body stays. If you're not sure whether the stand body or the clamp head is the right replacement, the buying guide walks through the cam-versus-QR decision the body is built to carry either way: How to choose a bike repair stand →
