Magura's MT-series two-piston calipers and Campagnolo's pre-2019 disc brakes share a pad pocket, and the Sinter Model 009 is the organic-compound replacement that fits both. The MT2 / MT4 / MT6 / MT8 / MTS family is Magura's lighter-end MTB and trekking platform; calipers that are common on European builds and on a growing share of US trail bikes since Magura's North American distribution expanded. The Campagnolo coverage extends back through every Campagnolo Disc caliper before the 2019 redesign.
What's in the kit
One caliper's worth of pads (2 pads, left and right) for the Magura MT 2-piston pocket. The kit ships with the pin and bedding-in instructions; the spring is part of the pad assembly. Order two kits if you're replacing front and rear pads in the same service.
Fits
Magura MT 2-piston and Campagnolo pre-2019 pad shape:
- Magura MT2 (2-piston, entry MTB)
- Magura MT4 (2-piston, mid-range MTB)
- Magura MT6 (2-piston, premium 2-piston MTB)
- Magura MT8 (2-piston, top-tier 2-piston)
- Magura MTS (sport / commuter)
- Campagnolo Disc (all brakes through model year 2019)
The 2019 Campagnolo Disc redesign moved to a different pad pocket; if your Campagnolo road bike is 2020-onward, the Model 027 (Campagnolo Green) is the correct fitment. For pre-2019 Campagnolo and all current Magura MT 2-piston, this is the right Sinter model.
Compound and feel
The Magura MT-series caliper is engineered around a softer initial bite than the equivalent Shimano or SRAM caliper, and Sinter's organic ceramic-loaded compound complements that engineering. The lever feel stays linear from the first pull through hard deceleration, and the compound runs quiet on the Magura-spec MDR-P rotor or the more common Centerline / SM-RT pattern most Magura customers swap in. For Campagnolo road riders on pre-2019 calipers, the Sinter pad reproduces the modulation that Campagnolo originally specced; a meaningful improvement over the rough-feeling OE replacements that are often the only option through the original-equipment channel.

Sinter, made in Slovenia since 1969
Sinter has been making friction materials in Ljubljana since 1969, and developed the first disc brake pads in the former Yugoslavia in 1972. The plant supplies organic-compound pads at scale to European motorcycle OEMs alongside the bicycle aftermarket. Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče since 1919, and is the official technical partner of multiple World Tour and downhill teams. The Model 009 is the Magura-and-Campagnolo pad in this Slovenian catalog, two component-brand fitments served by one pad shape because the geometric standards in early-2010s European disc brake design converged.
Pro tip from our mechanics
Magura calipers use mineral oil rather than DOT fluid, and a fresh pad install is the right moment to check the system for moisture contamination at the lever. Mineral oil's working envelope is wider than DOT but it still picks up moisture over a season of riding; a slightly cloudy or amber fluid color through the lever's reservoir window is a signal to schedule a bleed before the next big descent. A Bleedkit Magura kit is the next-step purchase if the fluid looks ready for change.
