A small shop’s storage problem is rarely “not enough space.” It’s “the space we have isn’t load-rated for the tools we own.” A 30 kg torque-wrench set in a consumer-grade cabinet bows the drawer slides in six months; the next cabinet doesn’t last much longer. The Unior Hercules Tool Carriage 940H2 solves that load problem directly: a 2300 kg static capacity, seven full-extension drawers rated 45 kg each, and a separate cabinet section for the big items that don’t fit in a drawer.

The Hercules is the rolling cabinet for shops that need to move tools around the floor, stay flexible on layout, or keep a complete service kit for the road on race weekends. For shops that don’t move tools, the fixed 990WD7 tool chest is the bench-integrated equivalent.

What it carries

  • Static capacity: 2300 kg without casters. The point of the load rating is that you can park a mid-sized car on it without compressing a drawer slide. In practical terms: the Hercules survives every realistic combination of tools without flexing.
  • Drawers: 7 full-extension, ball-bearing slides; 45 kg per drawer; lockable.
  • Cabinet section: lower compartment for tools that don’t fit in a drawer; large bottom-bracket tools, suspension-service kits, full repair-stand clamps.
  • Casters: four heavy-duty; one locking for parking stability.
  • Lock: all drawers and the cabinet lock together with the central lock.

Who it fits

Three workshop profiles where the Hercules earns its place:

  1. Small shop staying flexible on layout. The Hercules rolls between repair zones; a wall-fixed cabinet doesn’t.
  2. Team mechanic on the road. The cabinet rides on a truck, unloads onto a paved or floored surface, and locks against curious hands at race events.
  3. Multi-mechanic shop with a shared specialty-tool pool. Park the Hercules between repair zones, share the contents, lock it overnight.

For shops that have settled on layout and don’t share tools across zones, the fixed 990WD7 chest or the bench-integrated cabinets on the 2600A Professional Mechanic Workbench cover the same drawer count at lower price and no caster cost.

Built in Zreče, Slovenia

Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče, Slovenia, since 1919, and is the official technical partner of multiple World Tour and downhill teams. The Hercules is part of the same in-house manufacturing line that produces the workbenches and the foam-tray system; Premium PLUS sheet metal stamped at the Zreče works, then finished in the workshop-black powder coat that matches the rest of the carriage range.

Pro tip from our mechanics

Once a cabinet is locked, the question changes from “where is the tool” to “who has the key.” For multi-mechanic shops, our recommendation is one key per mechanic with the central lock left open during shift hours and locked overnight only.
